Repent, Receive & Revive

Hello everyone.

Today I would like to talk about Repentance, Receiving and Reviving. This is something that was discussed in Sunday's Service this past weekend.

First, to repent. This means so much to me because I know that I, myself have sinned many times in my life. I will continue to sin throughout my life. It's easy to sin, easy to reject things, easy to say "I'm done. I'm not doing that. I give up." Unless you ask for forgiveness for your sins, you will never understand or know Jesus fully. That is why it is so important to repent. The second that we open our hearts to Him, it will be filled with so much love that you won't even be able to imagine! Please repent and you will have a true, loving relationship that you never thought possible!

Next, is to receive. This means a lot to me, since I have received Jesus into my life and I am so thankful for the things He has done for me! This is where the Scripture John 16:24 comes in. "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." Understanding that I can ask for what I need and actually receive it means so much! Now, I know that if I ask for something that I want, I might not get it. That's because God knows what we need before we even ask. He knows what is best for us! Sometimes, what we want, isn't what's best. With that, God says no. We might not understand or like it, but if we are patient and allow Him to show us the whole picture, we will come to see why He said no before. So please, receive Jesus in your heart, mind and life. With that, you will receive so much more! Blessings will come. They have for me.

Then, is to revive. This is what I long for! To Revive! If we would just stop doing the evil things in our lives, we would not only be revived, we would feel it! To live with Jesus is what we all want someday. In order to do that, we must accept Him and allow Him to live inside us. We need to grow, spiritually. We need to Receive His Word which is food for our souls. Also, we need to repent, which allows us to start fresh and to be closer to God.  2 Corinthians 7:10 says, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." So, if you find yourself sad and crying because you didn't win the lotto, you didn't get that promotion, or you didn't get approved for that loan, think twice about it! It's better to feel sorry and cry because you need forgiveness for your sins. Don't be afraid to talk to God. He is there always. He is listening and wants us to ask for His help. That's what He is waiting for! And trust me, He is very willing to help you!!

We can grow in our Faith and grow in Spirit if we would just obey Him and listen. He is trying to show us and talk to us. We need to allow Him to be in our lives. Show Him how much you love Him by your actions and words. By serving others, giving people a ride to the doctors, raking leaves in people's yards, cleaning up the neighborhood, feeding people who are hungry...etc. Give some encouraging words, or advice to someone who needs a friend. Be there for others. Show them love and kindness. This is how we show God how much we love Him! Is it really that hard to do? I don't think so! I love to help others when I can and talk to people. I also love to talk about Jesus! I am so thankful that I accepted Him in my life and I feel so much better now. I am in a better place in my life right now and will thank Him continuously, for everything He has done for me. I hope you will do the same.

I hope you enjoyed this message. Have a wonderful day, with a fresh start!

Take care and God bless,

Debra
