Hello everyone.

Tonight I am going to choose 5 Scriptures that were mentioned at Bible Study. I'm going to write it out and let you know what it means to me. (Now, this is only my opinion.)

The first one is 2 Timothy 3:16-17.  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I like this one because it tells me that when I do service work, I am doing something right. I love to talk about Scriptures and about Jesus. Not only am I learning about Him and doing things to help others, it makes me feel like a better person. It fills my heart with warmth when I can do service work. So this one means a lot to me and I hope that it means the same to you.

The second one is Acts 20:32-35  "Now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord, Jesus Christ, Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

This one shows me how important it is to help others. Those that are weak and can't lift something. Those that are sick and need some medicine. Those that are hungry and need some food. I find myself feeling so much happier when I do for others, then when I receive from others. Don't get me wrong...it's always nice to get help, but it means so much more to me when I can be the one helping. It makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something important.

The third one is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4  Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

This one means so much to me! Because I'm a believer and I know that Jesus died, was buried and rose again, I have been saved! To know that our Heavenly Father gave His only Son to save all of us...well, it brings tears to my eyes. He loves me so much! (and also you!) My faith has grown so much over the years. Thank you, Lord!

The fourth one is Ephesians 5:15-20  Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's Will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

This one I love because it tells me how to live. To be careful. There's evil in the world. To be smart, not to let your guard down. To understand what it is that God wants us to do and how to act. I love being with friends and family who praise God. Going to church is important to me, not only for fulfillment of His Word, but also to me, it's family-time. To sing songs, praise God and to give Him all the glory! It also reminds me of how to pray. I always thank our Heavenly Father for everything in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The last one is 1 Thessalonians 1:6-9  You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia--your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.

This one I like because it reminds me that there are people out there that know I'm a believer just by my actions and my words. Even in times of suffering and trials, I welcomed His messages and His love. So, with that being said, I love our Heavenly Father, I love His Son, and I love the Holy Spirit! It means so much to me to be able to serve and talk about Jesus. I hope you feel the same way and spend some alone-time with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

May you all have a wonderful, restful night.

God bless,
